Profile
I am a fully qualified time-served Carpenter and Joiner. All of my qualifications have been verified by the Institute of Carpenters, of which I am an up-to-date member.
I have 30+ years of experience, specialising in all aspects of Carpentry & Joinery.
Not only am I an experienced tradesman, I am also a professional, with a background in teaching construction. I have the following teaching qualifications: Certificate of Education, qualified Carpentry/Construction Lecturer & Site Assessor, Enhanced DBS and Level 2 and 3 Advanced Carpentry and Joinery. I gained these qualifications whilst working across FE colleges in the North East. I have also run wood workshops for a charity supporting people with learning disabilities, and taught young men in a young offenders’ institution. These experiences have given me a strong moral compass, and a highly inclusive commitment to serve every customer with the greatest respect.
Rest assured that I take a huge amount of pride in my work, and look to document/ photograph jobs to add to my Portfolio. If you need any further proof see my google reviews below!

'On the job' FAQ
What song will you catch me singing terribly?
Always partial to a bit of ACDC. 'Back in Black' , 'Whole lot of Rosie' and You shook me all night long'.
What is your favourite type of wood and why (in ten words or less)?
Weird question but I'll go with it. All wood is beautiful and its all individual like us. For a quality job however I'm always looking for a well machined piece without defects to work with.
What is your go-to drink at work?
When asked I always respond to the customer 'strong and white please'. Tea or coffee either will do. On the occasional warm day......anything cold.
What is your favourite lunch at work?
Anything that doesn't repeat on me...or the customer .
